Well, I got back to my computer sooner than I thought I would, so I’ve had time to choose a winner.
And the winner is….
Kitten with a Whiplash with his very appropriate haiku:
Little unmatched sock!
Was your mate lost in dryer
or just never knit?
Congratulations, Kitten! Send an email to kaessa (at) kaessa (dot) com with your [...]

I ordered a skein of hand dyed sock yarn from Ray at Knitivity, and it arrived in the mail yesterday. Gorgeous! Soft and smooshy and huggable. The colorway is called “Dunes”, and it is a lovely mix of browns and blues. Perfect for wearing with blue jeans!
Beautiful! I am really looking forward [...]

I figured it would be a good time to do an update on the projects I’m doing. Currently in my knitting bag are my Feather and Fan Facecloth, the Felici Socks, and the newly started Zombie Socks.
I’m almost done with the facecloth. This pattern knits up quite quickly, and I’m loving the results. [...]

Wow… knitting. I have been slacking this week, mostly because I have been working on my blog. Knitting has kind of been put on hold all week. I have managed to get a little bit of work done on my Felici socks, and I’m very tickled with the way they’ve been coming [...]

It was suggested to me that a new blog needs a celebration. How do you celebrate a blog? Well, by having a contest! And not just any contest. This contest is a haiku contest. Write your best haiku about sock yarn, and I will pick someone to win this [...]

Well, the socks are going well. I have finished the toes, and am working on a rib pattern on the top of the sock. Pretty simple, just a K1, P1, K2, P1, K1, P2 rib on one, reversed to a P2, K1, P1, K2, P1, K1 rib on the other sock. I didn’t [...]

…Socks!
I am casting on a basic pair of socks using the techniques I have learned in Silver’s Sock Class. I’m going to do a few modifications to the pattern, including trying out a double wrap short row heel (tutorial found here at Misocrafty) instead of the single wrap that I did on the previous [...]

I’ve been working on the first pair of socks from Silver’s Sock Class (Two at once toe-up socks), and I’m pleased to say that they are finally finished. I’m not too happy with the way the heels came out, so I think I’m going to try a double wrap short row next time. [...]

Finally decided to sit down and take Silver’s Sock Class, and learn how to do two toe-up socks on one circular needle. No more second sock syndrome! So far, it’s going well. The cast on was a bit of a pain, and I’m not quite sure if I did it right, but [...]
