I just love the people still calling it the "Ground Zero Mosque" when anyone with half a brain and Google Streets can see that:
a) The site isn't, in NY terms, anywhere close to Ground Zero.
b) You can't see the GZ site from where the "Mosque" would be.
c) It's not even a Mosque, as to be considered as such you can't do anything but hold religious services there. This Community Center is going to have a basketball court inside it.

Of course, I'm posting here so I'm preaching to the choir, but the amount of misinformation prevalent in today's society is re-fraking-diculous. It's pisses me off. This might be why I take solace in the worlds I see in my mind. Reality just ain't worth it sometimes.

That's lovely! I'll add that next time I forward, it's straightforward and to the point.

My problem is that I'm so used to tutoring people, I get too in-depth. :D

I've puzzled over how to get the message across to people about bcc's and forwarding and managed to insult a few by suggesting that they do other than what they're doing. Yours is a thorough discussion but I can see some of my friends rolling their eyes, TMI. Last night my cousin (who always follows good forwarding etiquette -- and I may have taught her that) included at the end of a long and beautiful photo sequence this paragraph, which I think is a fabulous reminder:

"If you forward this email please delete the forwarding history, all email addresses which includes mine. It is a courtesy to others who may not wish to have their email addresses sent all over the world! Erasing the history helps prevent Spammers from mining addresses and protects against viruses."

(Only it was in a lovely font, Monotype Corsive 13.5.)

Thanks, Terry. :)

I should post new pics of the lawn. It's growing really well. Brian mowed it the day before yesterday and forgot to change the height of the mower (we're borrowing his parents' mower, and they cut their lawn shorter than I'd like)... so it's a bit short. We usually cut it to about 3 inches, and it needs a trim EVERY WEEK. It's pretty much going crazy. I'm going to use some weed and feed (again) on it here in a few weeks, so next year we should have a proper thick lawn.

Kaessa,

Don't think that because you haven't received many comments that there aren't people out here watching and enjoying your music making pleasure with you. It's good to see.

By-the-way, the grass looks good, since all of the upheaval back in April, but don't forget to have it cut. That way it will thicken up and look all the better and you'll be able to enjoy it later into the season. At this stage a max of about three inches is best.
