@Darcie:
Yeah, that's what's scaring me, too. I've already asked for a spinning wheel for my birthday. Yikes!

@Christy:
I'm loving it... the spindle is very nice to work with. I'm going to do another batch tomorrow at our "Stitch & Bitch", and my friend is going to show me how to ply. After that? Dyeing. :D

It looks so pretty! I love seeing what people do with the tools they buy :)
It looks like you're getting the hang of it; your yarn is so even!

@Kitten with a Whiplash:

Thanks! I'm looking forward to learning more. Maybe I'll ask for a spinning wheel for my birthday. ;)

Congrats on entering a whole new world of creative expression (as well as potentially expensive equipment and accessories). I've only tried spindling to ply some really superfine coned yarn. Didn't work well, but I enjoyed the experince. There's nothing like finding a new way to enjoy fiber, right? Instead of being fiddly, I'd say your yarn has "character", and that character will lead you to the colors and pattern it wants to be. Keep strutting!
