Knitter’s Block

Is there such a thing? I’m having issues right now. Not because I don’t know what to knit… but because I have too many projects lined up and I don’t know where to start! I really should break down and learn to do the two at a time socks, and oh yeah, a shawl that I bought some gorgeous laceweight malabrigo for, and oh! the Kitty Pi cat beds I promised to make for the cats, and did I mention I still have 7 skeins of yarn I want to dye? That’s the start of it. Sheesh. I think I’ve become obsessed with the whole knitting thing.

Speaking of dyeing, I got some fantastic results with my first two attempts. I’m dying with Kool-Aid, and the first one is lemonade and orange. I’m calling it “Tropical Sunrise”. Yummy!

I love this one, but I’m not sure what I’m going to make with it (see? there I go again). The next one was a bit more difficult. I used black cherry and blue raspberry, and got this:

Just a bit more “patriotic” than the look I was going for. After getting some suggestions on the Ravelry group “A Kool Way to Dye”, I overdyed it with purple. Grape, to be exact. Now I love the color. This set is destined to become a cat bed. I have named it “Raspberry Delight”.

This is fun, I’m going to do more this weekend after I get back from the store with more Kool-Aid.

Still not sure what to knit at the moment… I think I’ll go down to the yarn store and see if I can get some inspiration. Now if I can just resist buying more yarn…
